Unlike traditional layer-by-layer 3D printing, non-planar printing moves the print head in all three axes simultaneously &#8211; allowing us to create the transparent ring that lets light escape from the lamp body. This technique is at the heart of what makes Foti unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every part of this 3D printed lamp is made from biosourced or recycled PLA &#8211; 100% biodegradable and recyclable materials. No glue, no chemical fixatives &#8211; the parts are designed to fit together perfectly and can be easily disassembled without tools to replace the LED bulb. Foti comes with an integrated E14 40W LED bulb for energy-efficient, warm lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NON-PLANAR 3D PRINTING &#8211; THE TECHNIQUE BEHIND FOTI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Non-planar 3D printing is one of the research axes we develop in our Brussels laboratory. Traditional 3D printing stacks flat layers horizontally &#8211; non-planar printing follows curved surfaces, eliminating visible layer lines and enabling new forms that are impossible with conventional methods.
