3D PRINTING WORKSHOP BRUSSELS

Studio Minimetre runs 3D printing initiation workshops in Brussels for schools, fablabs, cultural institutions and companies. We come to you or host your group in our workshop — hands-on sessions to discover and understand additive manufacturing from scratch.

A TURNKEY WORKSHOP FOR YOUR INSTITUTION

Are you a teacher, head of education, fablab coordinator or event organiser? Our 3D printing initiation workshop is designed to be accessible at every level, from primary school to professional. No prior technical knowledge needed — we adapt the content to your audience.

WHAT THE WORKSHOP COVERS:

• Understanding 3D printing — how it works, FDM and SLA technologies, materials
• From idea to file — introduction to 3D modelling or using existing models
• Slicing — setting up a print, choosing supports, understanding layers
• Starting a print — live observation of the process on our machines
• Real-world applications — use cases in design, architecture, medicine, art, industry
• Materials and eco-design — focus on Minimetre’s biobased and recycled filaments

AVAILABLE FORMATS

DISCOVERY SESSION (2H)

Ideal for a school class, student group or institutional visit. Theory introduction and live demonstration. Each participant leaves with a printed piece. Group of 10 to 25 people.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP (4H)

Full session with a design phase: participants model or customise a simple object that they print during the workshop. Suited to design schools, creative studios, open days. Group of 8 to 15 people.

CORPORATE EVENT (HALF-DAY OR FULL DAY)

Team-building through 3D printing: teams design and print an object in competition or collaboration. Can be combined with a demonstration of our ceramic printer, unique in Brussels. Group of 10 to 40 people.

WE COME TO YOU

No travel needed on your side — we bring the equipment directly to your premises in Brussels and across Belgium. An FDM 3D printer and all educational materials are included. Groups who prefer to visit our workshop can also be welcomed on-site.
